Welcome to River Methodist Church
We are a group of ordinary people who are aiming to grow in the love of God, share the love of God, and care with the love of God. We want our building to be a welcoming safe environment for all who come and to be an inclusive church where all feel safe and part of our community.
Our church is in the heart of the village of River, near Dover in Kent, opposite the village primary school on the main road. It is a vibrant village with many village activities, and we are very much part of this. As a church we provide not only Sunday worship, but a monthly New Life Service, bible studies both in person and accessible online, a toddler group and monthly Messy Church. Our Chit Chat Community Coffee Shop - a project from both church and community working together, is open twice a week with affordable high quality hot and cold drinks, homemade cakes, with a pay as you can and pay it forward schemes so everyone can come. We also provide a space for various other activities for the community, River Preschool, Choirs and singing groups to name a few as well as having a hall, coffee shop space, and upstairs rooms that people can hire for meetings, groups, or parties.
